The Thule RaceWay 2 (991), Thule’s most complete bike carrier for tailgate mounting. This tailgate bike carrier is suitable for 2 bikes of 15 kg each and has a maximum load capacity of 30 kg. Extremely well equipped with the FitDial system, RDT (Road Dampening Technology), Sure-Tight mounting cables and ‘No-sway cages’. Very robust design and suitable for many different car models.

Mounting on the tailgate of your car

The patented FitDial system guarantees a perfect fit on your car and ensures that there are no damages on your car. In addition, the RaceWay 991 is very easy to mount on the tailgate by means of the Sure-Tight mounting cables with a tightening mechanism. So you always have the maximum reinforced attachment to your car.

Confirmation of the bicycles

The Thule RaceWay 991 offers space for 2 bicycles of different frame sizes (also the transport of children’s bicycles is possible). The bikes are placed in the molded soft rubber protective pads. These protective pads provide a firm hold on the vehicle and protect the bicycles from scratches on the bicycle rack. In addition, the 991 uses the patented ‘No-sway cages’, which prevents the bikes from hitting the car every year. The tailgate bike carrier also contains ‘Road Dampening Technology’, which means the bikes are attached to the rack and the shocks on the way are absorbed.

Storage of RaceWay

Storing the Thule RaceWay is very easy. You can fold the bike carrier flat, also the arms of the bike carrier can be folded in and out so you can easily transport the bike carrier in the trunk of the car or easily store it when not in use.

• Thule Light Board 976: the Thule 976 replaces the most important rear lights of your car (via 7-pin connector) and allows you to mount your license plate.
• Thule Bike Frame Adapter 982: this adapter allows you to mount bikes without a standard frame (women’s bikes, mountain bikes, etc.) on the carrier. The adapter is placed between the seatpost and headset and is also suitable for bikes with a carbon frame.
