The Yakima Frontloader bicycle roof rack is a basic bicycle rack with wheel motor of the A-brand Yakima. With this model from Yakima you mount the bike to the front wheel. As a result, there is no contact with the frame and you can also use the carrier on bikes with a vulnerable frame (such as carbon bikes).
You can use the carrier on bikes with wheel sizes from 20″ to 29″. This also allows you to place larger children’s bikes on the Yakima Frontloader. Because of the mounting on the front wheel there are no restrictions regarding the shape of the frame. The maximum wheel width is 3″.
The Yakima Frontloader has 2 locks, namely: a lock that closes the carrier on the roof racks. In addition, a separate cable lock is supplied with the bike carrier. This allows you to lock both the bicycle on the bicycle rack and the bicycle rack on the roof racks.
